Campaign & Event Design for Cultural Exhibition in Macau
EUTOPIA created the campaign, content, and event design for KYOTO MATSURI, a cultural exhibition celebrating Kyoto’s artistry and heritage in Macau. The challenge was to present Japan’s craftsmanship through a design language that feels both traditional and contemporary. We aimed to create a cross cultural experience that connects business and culture, turning Kyoto’s timeless artistry into a living story that resonates with modern audiences.

Creating a Consistent Graphic & Spatial System
We unified all brand and event touchpoints under a cohesive visual identity. The design system extended across posters, wayfinding, digital screens, and web interfaces, ensuring consistency from promotion to exhibition. Graphic design elements drew inspiration from Kyoto’s understated elegance and balance, using geometry, negative space, and refined typography to create a timeless aesthetic. This integration strengthened recognition and guided audiences through a seamless experience.
Exhibition Design Approach
We designed and managed the full activation of KYOTO MATSURI, from the opening ceremony to workshop experiences and the B2C marketplace. Each spatial element reflected Kyoto’s harmony and precision, combining wooden textures, soft lighting, and curated displays to immerse visitors in craftsmanship and creativity. The presence of local government representatives added prestige, reinforcing the event’s status as both a cultural showcase and a business platform.

KYOTO MATSURI successfully attracted diverse audiences and strengthened cultural exchange between Japan and Macau.
